My friend Brad asked, What if time machines exist in the future?
What if when you woke up this morning it was actually you from 20 years from now waking up in today’s body?

Legacy follows the Chinese traditional proverb, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
Legacy is your reputation: how you are talked about by your peers regularly, not once in a eulogy.
Legacy is how you impact others ideally in a positive way. Or, perhaps it is the lesson they learn from a negative situation.
Legacy isn’t only what you Leave.
Legacy is about how you Live.
Legacy is Longevity.
Legacy is a reputation that is passed down through generations. An entrepreneurial family’s business legacy is the value they have contributed over time. The next generation is responsible for maintaining the business’s success and the family’s reputation.
Inheritance and reputation are mentioned in the Bible. “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,” Proverbs 13:22 says, While inheritance is financial, legacy is reputation. “A good name is more desirable than great riches,” Proverbs 22:1
Reputation is the collective perception and evaluation of an individual or entity based on their actions, behavior, and public image. It reflects the overall judgment and credibility assigned to them by others within a community, society, or professional sphere. So when it comes to legacy, what you do today is your reputation and later your legacy as you are remembered. More important, when you look in the mirror, are your actions ones you are proud of or will your Mother be thrilled to see them as news on the front page?
Legacy as relevancy has less to do with your ego and more to do with your impact. To be relevant in terms of a career means staying current, adapting to industry changes, and possessing skills and knowledge that align with the evolving demands of one’s profession. It involves continuous learning, innovation, and an ability to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic work environment. Is what you do relevant?
Professional relevancy demands adaptability and engagement in various dimensions. This includes maintaining cultural, technological, and social relevance, staying attuned to economic and political trends, and ensuring educational effectiveness. Additionally and personally, health, culinary, and fashion relevance require practices aligned with contemporary standards and staying in tune with current trends. Relevancy in the context of age is about maintaining a sense of purpose, engagement, and connection with the changing world. Is what you do relevant as you age?
